Super Saturday

Super Saturday is a ceremonial tradition in Chinatown as part of the Lunar New Year celebrations. I wanted to capture some of the energy and vibrance around this event during the short amount of time I had to witness it. I was captivated by the confetti fluttering down from above and the cacophony of percussion echoing off the storefronts.

But this was also a personal exercise in shooting, editing, and creating for the cake of creating. An activity that I had not done in a while and was beginning to wonder if I still knew how. I often find beauty and satisfaction in the subtleties of a simple video like this one.
